Altmann company party

16.10.2021 von Iris Lindner

Shortly after the official start at 3 p.m., the party was already in full swing: with cake from the buffet, cups filled with coffee and the children enjoying themselves in the bouncy castle or in the popular tent, where they could do some crafts. After the (almost) complete workforce with partners and children had gradually gathered and fortified by a first meal, Robert and Achim Altmann took the floor to welcome their guests and look back on the past financial year.

This year has been very successful despite the ongoing pandemic, shown by the fact that the ALTMANN team has grown by six new employees: one industrial electrician apprentice, one mechatronics apprentice, one employee each in lathe and mill cutting, IT and assembly as well as a working student are the new faces at the crane building specialist. One employee was honoured for ten years of service with the company.

A look back at the completed projects confirmed that ALTMANN absolutely needed additional staff in 2021. In addition to having established a proper 30 t test stand in Hall 2 and equipped two factory halls of a regular customer from Germany, twelve cleanroom cranes were supplied for a customer in Austria and another 14 for customers in the Netherlands. Finally, a project in Poland was completed and an automatic shading system was installed in Seoul. It couldn't have gone any better in a year that was globally marked by delivery problems and a shortage of raw materials. Investments were made accordingly: the Altmann brothers have invested an impressive six-figure sum in the family business since the last summer party. Adhering to the motto "quality prevails", high-quality products can only be created in a professional and modern environment.

Part of the turnover flowed into the repeat audit by TÜV Süd. Valid until August 2024, this audit was passed with flying colours and Robert Altmann once again expressed his special thanks to all those involved. He also revealed that the investments planned for the near future would even exceed the sum made so far. Of course, on the topic of the future, he took the opportunity to show his guests one of the five new training videos (these are still being completed and can be viewed on the website from the end of November), which are to arouse the interest of school graduates to start an apprenticeship at ALTMANN, together with the trainees' YouTube channel.

In their address, Robert and Achim also made it clear how much the performance of their employees is perceived from the outside: for example, the suppliers who express their appreciation by setting up display stands, or the visit of the Head of District Otto Lederer in August.

Then the "beer crate challenge" started. Although the women’s team didn’t manage to surpass the 60 crates lifted by the men, it was great fun for everyone and afterwards the approximately 100 guests gathered in the tent again, hungry. The party service Estermann from Unterreit was already waiting there with a 63 kg suckling pig which was served with dumplings, cabbage and potato salad and red cabbage. The portions were large and at the end of the party, many of the employees took a portion home with them for the next day. After the end of childcare at 7 p.m., the children gradually appeared around the fire basket that had been set up in the meantime and showed their crafted works. At around 10:30 p.m., the last guests said goodbye, and once again a cosy and overall successful company party came to an end.

We at ALTMANN GmbH thank all guests for coming!

The men's approach: "The faster we stem, the longer we have the power". The power was finally enough for 60 crates.

In the "beer crate challenge", the women's team decided on the tactics of "Nice and slow, one after the other".
