A wide range of hoists were examined, including standard wire rope hoists and chain hoists from various manufacturers, as well as two in-house models from the technology leader ALTMANN - a 2000 kg and a 500 kg hoist. The focus was on determining the particle concentration and size emitted into the ambient air during operation of a crane.

The results of the study are revealing: while the cleanroom suitability of the standard hoists could hardly be determined, the two ALTMANN models convinced with excellent performance. Both were successfully qualified for use in the demanding cleanroom classes, further underlining ALTMANN's leading position in this special field of cleanroom technology.

These results are further proof of the high technological level and quality of ALTMANN hoists, as well as a milestone in the research and development of cleanroom capable materials handling technology as a whole.
It has been an exceptional opportunity to take the lead on such a challenging project. The experience and knowledge I gained during this work are also of great value to me.
My personal thanks go to the entire ALTMANN staff, from the trainees to the management. I was able to rely on the full support of everyone, even in day-to-day business operations.
